The Folly Issue

Xpat's 4th issue; Fall '06, FOLLY hit the streets September 2nd 2006.

Go grab a copy from your local xpat pub, restaurant, or cafe. You'd better hurry, 'cause they go quickly and you won't see an new issue until the TRIUMPH issue arrives in December.

The FOLLY issue is by far our finest effort featuring a beautifully crafted photo-spread and essay exposing the colorfully ominous Taiwanese religious icons: Ba Jia Jiang. Check out the spread in the print editon (or download the PDF here) to witness the skillful design of our newest contributing designer, 73minstrel.

Other highlights include:

Ol' Georgie Boy: A hilarious Interfaux with George W. Bush based on his trademark bonehead quotations by Matt Gibson featuring the humorous political artwork of Steve Williams.

The Folly of Faith: An amusing story of challenge and defeat in the face of narrow-minded authority by Duncan MacIsaac featuring the artwork of longtime contributor Dennis Huang.

The Follies of Kaohsiung: A virtual tour of the architectural follies of Koahsiung by David Alexander featuring phography by Pawl English and Chris Scott
